Folate-5 Plus™ supplies calcium folinate, along with vitamin B12 and the antioxidant enzymes SOD and catalase. This high potency product is appropriate when supplemental folate is warranted. Folate is required for the synthesis of the neurotransmitters dopamine, epinephrine and serotonin. It is important for healthy fetal development as well as maintaining healthy homocysteine levels. Folate is also correlated to the expression of proteins involved in the activation and regulation of immune function.
